HEART OF LOCHEE
"Heart of Lochee" is a short documentary directed by Dundee-born filmmaker Scotty Dee and co-produced by local businessman Mike Garty. Funded with the goal of supporting the club’s fundraising efforts, the film also serves as a heartfelt tribute to the incredible community at the heart of Lochee.

The documentary beautifully captures the club’s generational impact, highlighting the dedication of its coaches, volunteers, and the transformative role it plays in the lives of its members.

The film came about through Mike approaching Scott Dee, asking if he would be interested in making a documentary that would aid the club with funding their extension project. Having previously worked together on another Lochee linked creative project, 'Tip', Scott agreed to come on board, wavering his fee as a token of good will for the charitable cause.

​After 18 long months, the film was finally finished with the help of many collaborators, the film premiered to a sold-out crowd at Dundee Contemporary Arts in late 2024, the screening brought together club members, coaches, committee members, and their families to celebrate the community’s story on the big screen.

Beyond its initial success, "Heart of Lochee" has played a vital role in the club’s extension project, serving as a compelling tool to communicate the club’s vision to potential funders.
The film underscores the importance of the extension and the positive changes it will bring to the community.
